Croatia is one of the smallest country in the world but the diverse geography of Croatia gives shows the variety within its small boundary. Croatia is located on the southeastern part of Europe and has the Adriatic Sea bordering it, between Bosnia , Herzegovina and Slovenia. Apart from these features, Croatia also has natural resources of bauxite, oil, natural asphalt, low-grade iron ore, gypsum, calcium, mica, salt, silica, hydropowder and clays. Cultivable land of Croatia is more than 30sq.km. However, this nation is often faced by natural hazards like destructive earthquakes. However, along with this there are also a number of factors that is threatening the environment of Croatia. The metallurgical plants causes air pollution and the acid rain is destroying the forest cover of this place. The fast growing industrial belt and the raw products from there poses a great threat to the natural bounty of Croatia.
