According to traditional beliefs, Croatian people are known to inhibit their land for thirteen long centuries, giving them immense time to settle down as far as their culture is concerned. It also helped them to dig deep down and search for the roots, something that had a lot to do in terms of integrating and binding them together. Even today, this Central European land has retained a large portion of the remnants of its earlier periods, something which inspires all the Croats to stay together in peace and harmony.
Croatian art has always had its fair share of limelight, gained as a result of its immense potential and offerings. The first artwork that is believed to have been built by the Croats were sanctuaries. Then came the monuments, and finally the Croats indulged themselves in making churches. St. Donatus church in Zadar is believed to be one of the most complicated buildings, ever to be made by a Croat.

While speaking about Croatian Culture, it is just impossible to undermine the educational system that is found to be operational in this part of Central Europe. There are seven mainstream universities that are found here. All these seven universities have state of the art infrastructure and are known to deliver the goods, as far as teaching is concerned. The Croatian Academy of Science and Arts is a well known centre that has devoted itself in promoting the proper applicability of linguistic and culture. Painting in Croatia has also reached tremendous excel. Under the guidance of world reputed painters like Federico Benkovic, the painting scenerio in this country is on the flourish.
As far as tourist destinations are concerned, this Central European country has six world heritage places, as deemed by UNESCO. All these goes to show that Croatian Culture is immensely rich in nature.
